I couldn’t pass up sharing this story with all my bloggie friends. I truly believe that there are angels among us and this is the story of one angel named Lila Rae. She was born 3 years ago and spent only 6 weeks in this world while battling a congenital heart defect (CHD). Lila Rae’s mommy is a college friend of mine who contacted me with one of the few pictures she has of Lila Rae wanting to know if I could make it digi-fabulous for her. Here is what we came up with!
Being mommy now myself, I count my blessings every day that our baby boy entered this world a healthy and happy baby! I’m often haunted by the selfish thoughts that entered my mind when I first discovered that my husband and I were expecting. “How could all the couples out there that are trying so hard, every day, to become pregnant struggle so bad; yet we, who weren’t trying at all, end up pregnant?” All I can say is that God’s timing is PERFECT in every way! And I’m so thankful for my little family.
Lila Rae has inspired me as a photographer to take the next step in becoming involved with the Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep organization for the families of angels.
