So next up on my sessions that I needed to blog during the last 6 months is… none other than my sweet brother and his fiancรฉ Madeline! ๐ Joel proposed on February 2 (I know… what a terrible sister am I?! Having not blogged this special moment yet?!?! SORRY!) and she said YES! Yay!!! I’ll have another sister! ๐ ย Joel and Madeline met at Clemson University, and I’m so glad they did! Joel proposed on her farm in Due West, SC, at her favorite spot on the farm. I thought that was sooo sweet! And he even went as far as contacting me to be the “surprise photographer”! OF COURSE, I couldn’t pass THAT up! So the plans began… and they resulted in a special little “hide out” for me! Many props to Madeline’s parents for making it extra cozy with blankets. ๐ Here’s a picture I snapped with my phone of my little hide-out.
Now, after a bit, the cows caught on that there was something strange in their neighborhood. And so they came over to check things out… and WOULD NOT MOVE AWAY! hahaha I just KNEW the surprise was shot; that is not their normal behavior, and Madeline knows that! Now getting Madeline to agree to go for a walk, in the cold, moments before they were “supposed to leave for dinner” was a task for Joel. He finally convinced her that they needed to go check out the spot on their farm where they’ve had an invasion of wild hogs (the reason they have on muck boots). ahahahahahahaha! She gave in, and so a-walking they went. ๐ Now do y’all see why I love this girl!?!? And here are a few photos from they day, and then some others I had taken of them earlier!
I just loved these cows! ๐
Don’t you just LOVE the cute, little red-headed, photobomber in the next photo?! That’s my son; and he LOVES Uncle Joel and Aunt Madeline! ๐
Joel and Madeline’s wedding will be September 21, 2013! I’m so excited for you both and wish you the very best in everything that life can bring!!! Love y’all!
ALSO… I almost FORGOT!!! Joel and Madeline are now the parents to this little cutie! ๐ She’s a Boykin Spaniel and her name is Nellie!
And… Nellie with her cousins Millie (left) and Satilla (right)! They are my Chesapeake Bay Retrievers. Aww, love all of them! This photo cracks me up; this was definitely a fun, and HARD moment to capture! lol
