Some of you may know, some of you may not, but fresh out of college I was an Ag teacher and FFA advisor! While I LOVED every minute of it, my husband’s career had different plans for our whereabouts and took us to another state during the middle of a school year with no job openings at the time. So I had a good bit of time to reflect on what it was that I wanted to “do” for the rest of my life! Thus began my photography career and I’m stuck on this one because not only do I enjoy it, I. LUUUURVE. IT!!! Now, you may be asking what in the world this has to do with my latest maternity session?! Welllll… this young lady pictured was one of my VERY FIRST dedicated FFA students, and she was one of our chapter’s officers! One of the officers that helped charter our chapter at the Newberry County Career Center. She and a handful of other students were what kept me going from day to day during my teaching adventure because let’s face it, being a teacher IS HAAAARD! God bless all teachers out there! You have my utmost respect! Here are a couple of throwbacks to my teaching days… you would think I was a photographer back then huh?! LOL I think my students thought so because I was ALWAYS taking their pictures!!! And even posing them… see! Here are four of my former students in 2007 out doing a little forest sampling.
And here we are again in 2008 at the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, IN visiting the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Rachel, I wish you and your sweet little family all the best in the world! Know that I love you dearly and am so proud of the woman you have become! Rachel and Johnathan have already had their baby boy as well, and I have some sweet images to share of baby J soon!!!
