On April 12, 2014, I set off to the countryside of South Carolina’s Saluda County for a wedding of one of my college pals and former Ag teaching buddy! When my GPS gave out on me because I was SO in the country, I panicked for a minute, but then I remembered I had been to this church before some years before with Amanda. So I took my mind off my phone GPS and put it to use and enjoyed the countryside along the way! And then… I rolled into the church drive and THIS is what it looked like! Have I ever mentioned before how much I ADORE a good ole down-home wedding?!?! Well, sit back and enjoy this blog post, because that is EXACTLY what you are about to witness! 😀
This little white church is SO beautiful and quaint!
I LOVE the season of dogwood blooms! This tree was chock full of them on this beautiful wedding day!
This part of the church building was a special place for Amanda to get ready in because that stained glass window you see in the background was dedicated to the new church addition by her grandfather and the family, in memory of her grandmother! Such rich family history surrounding this whole wedding!
Amanda, you were ABSOLUTELY a stunning bride! And the beadwork of Amanda’s wedding dress was simply beautiful!!!
I’m sort of partial to red-heads nowadays as I have one of my own :D, so being able to photograph 3 red-headed sisters was SO FUN!!!
All rings pictured here were family rings which I thought was SO AWESOME!
Ummm… how CUTE is this getaway truck???!!!
Amanda saw this picture in her mind! And I must admit, I’m SO GLAD we collaborated about this shot before it actually happened!!! Such an awesome shot!
The reception was held at their home on Lake Murray! How beautiful of a setting is this?!?!!!!
And we won’t even TALK about how good this pan of pork skins were!!!
Remember I’ve mentioned how family oriented this wedding was… here’s another little family contribution! Her cousin made her cake!!!
Their band, Steele Justice, provided our entertainment for the evening, and I must admit, I was singing along with EVERY song!!! They were SO GOOD!
And lookie there… I even ran into one of my Clemson professors!!! It was so good to see sooooo many familiar faces at Josh and Amanda’s wedding! (Pardon my end of the day wedding hair. Ugh! lol)
Josh and Amanda, I adore you two! I’m so thankful you entrusted your wedding day photography to me! It was such a pleasure to witness your special day and I wish you both ALL the happiness in the world!!!
