Anytime I can immerse myself outdoors and be involved with photography… I am SO there! I had the opportunity to accompany my father on a prescribed burn recently. He is retired from the US Forest Service and is now owner of his forestry consulting business, Southern Woodland Associates, LLC. I myself have a degree in Forestry so this provides me the opportunity for a refresher in that aspect; my brother, featured in some of these images, is also working toward a BS degree in Forest Resource Management from Clemson University. Daddy wanted me along to document from start to finish what a prescribed burn entails to use in a presentation for some college students. Here are some images from the day.
